Jewelry thief steals $50K in merchandise

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. Officers say the man held up an employee of John's Jewelry Store in Laguna Beach.

The suspect stole about $50,000 worth of merchandise, then took off.

Surveillance video shows him wearing a tan, long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and glasses.
