Study: Snacking during labor may be OK

Doctors have long discouraged women in labor from eating, for fear it could cause problems during an emergency caesarean section that requires general anesthesia.

In a study published in the /*British Medical Journal*/, researchers found there was no difference for women who snacked and those who didn't when it came to caesareans, vaginal deliveries and even duration of labor.

There was also no affect on the baby.
