Plane makes precautionary landing at LAX

LOS ANGELES, Calif. The Boeing 767 was flying nonstop from Dallas-Fort Worth to Honolulu, Hawaii, with 216 people on board, when a warning light signaled a /*hydraulic leak*/. The pilot did not declare an emergency, but diverted to Los Angeles as a precaution.

The plane landed safely at /*LAX*/, and the passengers were eventually put on another American flight to Hawaii.

The airline is investigating to see if there was, in fact, a leak or if it was a problem with the warning light.
