O.C. pharmacy robber caught on camera

May 5, 2009 11:18:29 AM PDT
Police release surveillance photos on Tuesday of an armed man who robbed a pharmacy in Anaheim. According to investigators, the man entered the pharmacy in the 1000 block of North Euclid Street at about 7:15 p.m. Monday. He went behind the pharmacy counter and pointed a handgun at two employees, a man and a woman.

He ordered them to get on the ground and not look at him. While pointing the gun at the head of the male employee, he gave the female a bag and told her to fill it with the drugs Xanax and Oxycontin.

At one point during the robbery, a customer approached the counter. The gunman, keeping his gun pointed at the male employee on the ground, ordered the female to handle the customer.

Once the customer left, he finished the robbery and left. Once outside, he removed the hood of his sweatshirt and a cap he was wearing, exposing his face to a surveillance camera.

The suspect is described as a male Caucasian, 15 to 25 years old, approximately 175 pounds, with a thin build. He has a light complexion, short brown or black hair with sideburns, and was clean-shaven.

Anyone with information is asked to call Anaheim Police Detective K. Reiss at (714) 765-1962.
