Bike to Work Week kicks off in L.A.

LOS ANGELES City leaders will kick off the 15th annual event on Monday morning, and events are scheduled throughout the week.

On Tuesday, the annual Interfaith Blessing of the Bicycles will be held at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Bike to Work Downtown LA Ride takes place Wednesday, and on Thursday, Metro will offer free rides to bicyclists.

Friday is Bike to School Day.

Officials say Bike to Work Week is a great excuse for Los Angeles residents to kick-start their fitness routines.
