Search is on for home invasion robbers

INGLEWOOD. Calif. Inglewood police say the suspects knocked on the door of a home in the 10100 block of England Avenue Sunday morning, identifying themselves as police.

The victims say, once the door was open, the men forced their way into the home.

Four people, one adult and three minors, were tied up, but were not hurt.

The robbers escaped with $12,000 in cash and jewelry.

Inglewood police carry recognizable badges and photo identification.

They say legitimate officers will readily provide their name, serial number, and the reason for contact.
