2 IE girls rescued in prostitution ring

RIVERSIDE, Calif. Authorities say the youngest victim was just 10-years-old.

So far, the FBI and local police have arrested nearly 700 people, including 60 pimps in "Operation Cross Country."

A total of 36 cities were raided in the three day crackdown targeting underage prostitution. The operation was centered around places where minors were likely to be sold for sex, including truck stops, casinos, and internet websites. "Pimps were increasingly putting ads on social networking sites including Facebook and MySpace. They try and get these girls addicted to drugs until they are in a position where they are dependent on the predators," FBI agent John Gillies said.

Nearly 1,600 federal agents and police officers took part in the raids.
