Police wary of Halloween drunk driving

October 29, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
The Halloween holiday falls on a weekend this year, and that's pretty scary for some law enforcement. They expect lots of parties and that means drinking and drunken driving.

San Bernardino County officials called a news conference Thursday to remind everyone that drunk driving arrests are up in California from 206,000 in 2007 to 217,000 last year.

They're concerned that with Halloween landing on a Saturday, there will be lots of dangerous driving.

Law enforcement and Mothers Against Drunk Driving remind everyone to stay safe and remember not to drink and drive.
