Coffee may ward off endometrial cancer

LOS ANGELES Researchers in Sweden surveyed more than 60,000 women about their coffee-drinking habits and then tracked them for 17 years.

They say women who drank two or more cups of coffee a day were significantly less likely to develop endometrial cancer.

Each additional cup appeared to be tied to at least a 10 percent lower risk.

Researchers say coffee may affect blood sugar, fat cells and estrogen, which all play a role in endometrial cancer.
