Bodies found inside burning motor home

ATWATER VILLAGE, Calif. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene of the fire at 3333 N San Fernando Road shortly before 2:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a tan, late model Dodge Sportsman Class-C motor home engulfed in flames.

The motor home was parked in the rear of a commercial building near a newspaper distribution center.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames before they spread to any nearby structures or vehicles.

But inside the motor home, they discovered the remains of an adult in the overhead sleeper area. The gender of that body could not be determined. A second body of an adult male was found under some debris inside the motor home.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office is trying to identify the bodies in addition to determining the causes and times of the victims' deaths.
