According to police, 46-year-old Rosemary Pratt was walking on the southbound side of the street when the forklift hit her.
Pratt was taken to Kings County Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The 40-year-old driver, who has not been identified, remained at the scene.
Police are still investigating how the accident happened.
