A Riverside girl leaving her school was abducted and sexually assaulted by a man in his mid-20s to mid-30s who remains at large, authorities said today. The girl, whose name was withheld, was on her way home Tuesday afternoon, following an after-school program in the La Sierra area, when she was approached by a man who forced her into his vehicle, according to Riverside police Sgt. Mark Rossi.

The victim was driven to another location and assaulted, then let go, Rossi said.

The suspect was described as thin, with blond hair and wearing a dark blue baseball cap. According to the girl, the man was unshaven and had a prominent tattoo on his right forearm, bearing an unknown design and lettering.

His vehicle was described as a red 1980s four-door Toyota sedan, with tinted windows. The vehicle showed obvious wear and tear, and the paint scheme was faded in places, according to the victim.
