The elderly woman, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, died as a result of the crash. The westbound driver, 29-year-old Roseanna Beronio also of Ventura, was not injured in the incident.
The Ventura Police Department's traffic unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
Darling Road was closed in both directions between Saticoy Avenue and Wells Road during the course of the investigation.
