Iconic Empire Diner to shut its doors

NEW YORK After serving up comfort food at 22nd Street and 10th Avenue in Chelsea for 35 years, the owner of the Empire Diner says she lost her lease and is looking for a new location.

The Empire will serve its last meal on May 15.
