Caltrans closes 110 to upgrade old freeway

A major closure is under way for the 110 Freeway. All southbound lanes are shut down between Glenarm Street to Orange Grove Avenue.All lanes are slated to reopen on Monday at 5 a.m.

Caltrans closed the 110 in order to begin upgrading the freeway, which is the oldest in Los Angeles.

The $17 million project will install new lighting and concrete dividers along an eight-mile stretch of the 110 between the 5 Freeway and the northern part of Pasadena.
