Juveniles arrested for vandalizing Buena High

VENTURA, Calif. Police responded after receiving a 911 call and getting a description of the two suspects.

When officers began searching the school, police say the juveniles fled the area and attempted to elude officers. Officers set up a perimeter in the neighborhood west of Buena High and located one juvenile immediately.

A police K-9 unit was used to scent track and locate the second suspect, who was hiding in the bushes near a home.

Officers checked the surrounding area for additional graffiti and found some inside the Victoria Ave. foot tunnel consistent with the graffiti at Buena High. They also found similar graffiti at the footpath north of Telephone Rd., east of Saratoga.

Both juveniles were cited and released to their parents.

The /*Ventura Police Department*/ credited the 911 caller with being instrumental in the quick arrest of the suspected vandals.
