LAUSD reduces bus service due to budget cuts

September 2, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
Getting to school could be a lot more challenging for thousands of Los Angeles Unified School District students this year. Budget cuts are forcing the district to cancel bus service for some students and move bus stops farther away for others.

About 53,000 students will be affected. Many will have to go to alternate pick-up sites.

The district said service will be cut all together at Lane Elementary School, Westchester High School and Palms, Revere and Wright middle schools.
