'Geezer Bandit' bank robber reward increased

The FBI has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the elderly bank robber known as the "Geezer Bandit." The reward amount now stands at $20,000, up from $16,000.

The Geezer Bandit is blamed for at least 11 holdups in San Diego and Riverside counties over the past year.

Most recently, he's believed to have robbed a U.S. Bank branch in Vista on June 24. In that incident the FBI says he held a small revolver and demanded money from a teller. He made off with an unknown amount of cash.

Bank employees say the man is likely in his 60s. In some cases he was seen with a small oxygen tank over his shoulder, attached to a plastic nose-inhaler.

The FBI says despite his age and condition, the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
