Man asks to 'borrow' car, carjacks woman

VENTURA, Calif. Ventura police said William Tenner of Ventura asked a woman to let him 'borrow' her car on the 100 block of East Ramona Avenue. When she refused, Tenner threatened to hit her with a rock. The woman then gave up her car and Tenner fled the scene.

Police pulled Tenner over just after 3 p.m. for a traffic violation. They discovered Tenner had just stolen the car.

It was also determined that a man riding in the car with Tenner was not involved in the carjacking. However, he was found to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance.
