Ron Artest has pulled some wild antics, but his decision to auction off his ring comes from the heart to raise awareness of mental health.
"If I can give something that I love and I worked so hard for all my life, it will send the message out," Artest said. "It's a powerful message for something that needs to be addressed."
For only $2 a ticket, anyone can win the ring valued at $25,000.
"I have family members who are directly affected by mental health issues," said Artest. "On a large or small scale, I was affected probably right in the medium."
