68 feared dead in Cuban plane crash

HAVANA, Cuba Details and a photo of the fiery scene were found on the La Republica newspaper website. The twin turbo prop plane went down while en route to the capital Havana from an Eastern Cuban city.

The state-owned "Aerocaribbean" flight crashed after issuing an emergency call to the control tower.

The ATR-72 was said to be carrying 61 passengers and seven crew members. There were 28 foreigners on board.

Cuban media were offering no other details on the crash on Thursday night.
