Alcoholic energy drinks to be pulled by Dec.

The FDA warned four manufacturers of alcoholic energy drinks on Wednesday, calling caffeine in those drinks 'unsafe.'

Several major brands of caffeinated alcoholic drinks are about to vanish from store shelves. The FDA says they should be gone by this time next month.The makers of Four Loko and Joose are among the companies no longer shipping the products. They are expected to be off shelves by Dec. 13.

The FDA issued warnings to the companies this month, saying their drinks were unsafe because they can dangerously mask symptoms of intoxication.

At least four states have banned the beverages.
