December 2, 2010 12:00:00 AM PST
The annual Divine Design event opens in Beverly Hills on Friday, and shoppers will get the chance to grab some great gifts at deep discounts. The profits from the event will be benefiting Project Angel food.

"You could literally furnish an entire home with what we have here starting at 50 percent off," said said Diana Bianchini of Project Angel Food. "We even have little stuff, frames you can do, a holiday gift basket for your friends. We have vases, we have bowls, everything."

Bianchini said over the weekend, the prices will drop. On Saturday prices will be slashed by 60 percent and on Sunday, if there's anything left, it could be 70 to 90 percent off.

Some other items that will be for sale include:

  • Chair normally priced at $1300 will be $650
  • Down comforter normally $600 will be $300.
  • Baby grand piano normally $25,000 will be $12,500

Bianchini said Project Angel Food cooks and delivers 1,600 meals a day to people affected by AIDs, HIV, cancer and other serious illnesses.

"We do 13,000 meals a week, so every 5 bucks, you just fed someone in L.A. County," said Bianchini.

The sale starts at 10 a.m. and tickets are $25 each. Shoppers can buy the tickets at the door. The event is located at: 9900 Wilshire Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90212
