SoCal company recalls tamales due to allergen

LAWNDALE, Calif. Diana's Mexican Food Products of Lawndale is recalling the tamales after a routine inspection found they contained whey, a known allergen.

It was not listed on the label.

The tamales were produced between February 2010 and Dec. 2, 2010 and were distributed to restaurants in California.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety says there have no reports of illness.
