A study done in Spain shows eating food high in trans-fats increases your risk of depression by as much as 48 percent.

More than 12,000 people volunteered for the six-year study. When it began, none had been diagnosed with depression.

By the end of the study, more than 650 suffered from it.

In comparison, researchers said eating foods high in polyunsaturated fats such as fish and olive oil lowers your risk of depression.
