The producers are looking for nominees' mothers, who they call "mom-inees," to post updates on Twitter and appear during the 90-minute pre-show program. The mother tribute idea was announced Monday during the 30th annual /*Oscar*/ nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Cohen said the mothers' input will be "a really fun and beautiful thing."
But the telecast will still come in under three hours and 10 minutes, academy president Tom Sherak said.
