Snowboarder rescued from Ore.'s Mt. Hood

GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore.

Julian Acree, 27, says he got lost in white-out conditions and realized he couldn't find his way off the mountain late Sunday.

He called for help, made a bed of pine needles and curled up to wait it out.

Rescuers spotted him late Monday morning. A National Guard helicopter hoisted him off the west side of the mountain.

Paramedics said he was in good condition.
