The pursuit began when deputies spotted a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed about 3:30 a.m. The officers followed the vehicle through unincorporated areas of Ventura County and into Thousand Oaks, officials said.
The chase ended on Lodgewood Street in Thousand Oaks. Authorities say that's when an officer-involved shooting took place and a suspect was injured.
None of the officers involved were injured.
Authorities said there were two males in the suspect vehicle. Both were taken into custody.
The injured suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Neither identity of the suspects was immediately released.
