Wind is being blamed for a boat accident in the San Diego Bay that killed two people and sent eight others to the hospital, including several children.

The sailing charity that sponsored the trip for special needs children and their families says a gust of wind hit the boat just before it capsized late Sunday.

The two men killed have been identified as the uncle and grandfather of an 11-year-old autistic boy on the trip. Chao Chen, 73, and his son, Jun Chen, 48, of San Diego were declared dead at the scene after the 26-foot sailboat flipped over.

A woman remains in intensive care for hypothermia.
