'DWTS' contestants use Twitter to reach out to fans

LOS ANGELES

"I am so addicted to Twitter that if I wake up at 4 in the morning, I'm like, 'what are these people saying?'" said /*Kirstie Alley*/.

Even her fellow dancers have noticed her love for Twitter.

"You know, that's just another fan base area that you can reach out to people, the kids and everybody. It's all about the votes, so I can understand while she's checking her Twitter page," said /*Hines Ward*/.

"Kirstie is certainly all over the Twitter thing. We send out one or two a day, you know, touch base with our fans," said /*Ralph Macchio*/.

/*Romeo*/ says he's not addicted to Twitter, but admits it's useful to stay in connect with his fans and potential voters, "especially when you are friends with /*Justin Bieber*/."

/*Sugar Ray Leonard*/ is a Twitter holdout, preferring a more old fashioned method of communication.

"I'm an amateur to this whole thing. I'm used to the typewriter," he said laughing.

Another contestant will be eliminated from Season 12 of "/*Dancing With The Stars*/" on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. on ABC7.
