The suspect, driving a stolen Mercedes, crashed through a railroad crossing just moments before a commuter train sped through.
The pursuit reached speeds of 90 miles per hour, with the 20-year-old driver overtaking car after car.
The driver later abandoned the Mercedes but police eventually caught him.
He has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison.
Authorities withheld the video evidence until the trial was over.
