A problem with the autopilot system forced a plane from Los Angeles International Airport bound for San Francisco to turn around and make an emergency landing.

The United Airlines flight returned to LAX shortly after it took off Sunday night.

The pilot reportedly could not get the autopilot system to turn off. At the time, the pilot had no control over the aircraft.

The pilot finally managed to turn the autopilot off and land at LAX.

No one was injured.
