Getting in shape with Zumba fitness classes

TOLEDO, Ohio In a factory warehouse on Douglas Road just over the state line, it's wall-to-wall women shaking it during Zumba class.

The instructor, Christy Makulinski, was teaching Zumba at a few local dance studios, but soon her classes of were packed.

Her husband owns a warehouse. The combo of half-empty warehouse and Christy's full Zumba classes helped the Z-Fit Factory idea come to fruition.

Christy says, "My husband said, 'Since you've got this long waiting list why don't you try to have the classes here and see how it goes.'"

The Z-Fit Factory now has over 120 members. Four times a week, the cavernous warehouse fills up with people doing Zumba "I call them my Zumba peeps. Zumberinis," Christy says.

One Zumba peep lost 77 pounds! "I've dropped five pants sizes and lost 20 pounds, and I've been doing this since August," Nikki Cousino says.

It's a factory with no assembly line in sight, and Zumba peeps say they're addicted to the $5 classes. The Z-Fit Factory manufactures fun and fitness.
