Massachusetts puppy swept up in tornado, survives

MONSON, Mass.

"You could hear his nails being dragged across the floor and he was just crying," said owner Audrey Carabetta. "You could hear him hitting the walls as he was being pulled out of the house and it completely broke my heart."

Six-month-old Shadow now has the nickname "Super Dog." His family had feared the worst, but he turned up Saturday morning beneath the roof of a house that had been destroyed.

His owners say other than being hungry, he's in great shape. They're thrilled to have him back, especially since he was a gift for their 7-year-old daughter who's battling cancer.
