The former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder is charged with destroying or selling more than $400,000 worth of items from an $18.5 million mansion.
Dykstra faces up to 80 years in prison if he's convicted on all counts. A trial date is scheduled for Aug. 9.
Dykstra remains jailed on state charges, including grand theft auto and identity theft.
He is set to be arraigned on those charges later this week.
Prosecutors said Dykstra and two other men tried to lease luxury cars from dealers this year by providing false information and claiming credit through a phony business called Home Free Systems.
Police who arrested Dykstra last month said they found cocaine, Ecstasy and the synthetic human growth hormone Somatropin at his San Fernando Valley home.
Dykstra spent 12 years in the big leagues and helped the Mets to the World Series championship in 1986. He was a three-time All-Star in the 1990s while with the Phillies.
