LONDON

Rowling announced Thursday that her seven "Harry Potter" novels will be sold as e-books on the website, Pottermore.com, starting in October.

Rowling also said the site, which until Thursday has said only "coming soon," will offer fans an interactive digital experience.

The website goes live for selected users on July 31.

The final film in the Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" premieres in London next month.
