Gang member sought in Santa Ana teen murder

SANTA ANA, Calif.

Officers from the /*Santa Ana Police Department*/ responded to a report of a shooting at 327 E. Washington Ave. at 10:35 p.m. on June 22.

Albert Miller, 16, was found wounded by gunfire. He was transported to Western Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A homicide investigation revealed Juan Galvan, 19, and Jesus Canales were involved in the murder. Investigators determined Canales was the shooter.

Canales, a documented gang member, has a violent criminal history, according to the department.

Canales is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Santa Ana Police Department is offering monetary rewards for information leading to the arrest of gang homicide or felony gang assault suspects. Anyone with information about this or any gang homicide or felony gang assault suspect should contact the department's Gang Detail at (714) 245-8648.
