"I'm so excited, I'm going back to my family," Hough said. "Last time I was on the show, I left and went right into 'Footloose.' Now going back, so many mixed emotions. It's crazy."
Hough and her co-star, Kenny Wormald, will bring a different type of dancing to the place that helped launch her to stardom.
They each performed their own moves in the comedic drama, where dancing takes center stage. Hough said it was "a little weird" to dance in jeans.
"It was so freeing ...not being so glammed up and eyelashes and fake tan," Hough said. "Natural, that to me is what's pretty now. It's weird. My whole point of view has changed."
Hough and Wormald will dance on the show Oct. 11.
"Footloose" will be in theaters on Oct. 14.
