Santa Ana police looking for fatal hit-run driver

SANTA ANA, Calif.

A pedestrian was struck around 12:30 a.m. in the intersection of South Newhope Street and 1st Street.

Officials said that a witness saw a dark sedan with four occupants hit the victim. The vehicle stopped, two occupants got out of the vehicle, looked at the victim, and then fled the scene.

The witness said a second vehicle also struck the victim and continued driving.

The driver of the second vehicle has been located. The car has been impounded for evidence. However, the driver is not being arrested because police believe that she didn't have any idea what she hit.

Police are looking for the driver of the first vehicle.
