No charges for Texas judge who beat his daughter on tape

McALLEN, Texas

Judge William Adams has acknowledged that it is indeed him in the video, but the incident happened in 2004 and the statute of limitations has elapsed.

The local police chief says he contacted federal prosecutors, who agreed to look into the matter. However it's not clear what, if any, federal charges might pertain.

Also, a Texas state judicial commission is investigating.

Adams first came under public scrutiny earlier this week after his daughter, Hilary, released the video on YouTube last week. As of Friday, the video had more than 4 million views.
