Teen suspect in Huntington Beach fatal stabbing charged as adult

A 16-year-old arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in Huntington Beach has been charged as an adult.

Jesse Shockey of Garden Grove is facing one count of felony murder.

Investigators said Shockey stabbed 19-year-old Dylan Austin with a knife during a fight at Lark View Park last Wednesday night.

Shockey is being held on $1 million bail.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in prison.
