Red wine may deter breast cancer in women

LOS ANGELES

Doctors at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center say women who drink an 8-ounce glass of a nice hearty red wine per night have chemicals in their blood that hinder breast cancer.

This is a big discovery since that type of cancer particularly strikes pre-menopausal women.

According to researchers, the results don't mean white wine increases the risk of breast cancer, but it doesn't have the same protective effect as red wine.
