Investigators say it wasn't a random crime. The men were targeting the driver of the truck. Officials say the suspects poured gasoline on the truck, but they were run off by someone before they could ignite it.
The incident happened in the 7200 block of Alabama Avenue at about 12:20 a.m.
Police say there is some kind of dispute between the intended victim and the suspects.
Investigators did not immediately release a description of the wanted men, but say they may have fled from the scene in a compact pickup truck.
