Man steals officer's gun, credit cards from locker

Police are looking for a man who stole an officer's gun and credit cards and used the cards to make purchases at Target. (Fullerton Police Department)

Fullerton Police are asking for the public's helping in identifying a suspect who is believed to have taken an off-duty officer's gun from a gym locker in Santa Ana.

On Jan. 9, the suspect broke into an off-duty officer's gym locker, stealing his wallet and a 9mm Glock handgun, according to Fullerton Police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich.

About an hour later, the suspect entered a Target store on Malvern Ave. in Fullerton and used the officer's credit cards to make a purchase. Target surveillance video captured the suspect making the purchase and exiting the store.

The suspect is described as a black male with a very light complexion, 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 300 pounds. He was wearing a cabby style had with a plaid shirt.
