Police were called about 8 a.m. about the body at 67th Street and Halldale Avenue.
Investigators are trying to determine the man's identity and how he died.
They said the body was intact and that he is Hispanic and in his 50s.
Residents of the house where the container was found outside said the container appeared a couple of days ago but there was nothing suspicious about it.
