The fire broke out just after midnight Thursday.
The intense flames forced firefighters to attack the fire from the rear of the two-story home.
Three residents were able to make it out unharmed, but the home suffered extensive damage.
Ammunition stored in the garage added to the danger but it did not cause any problems during the firefight.
The cause and origin of the fire was under investigation.
