The blaze broke out just after midnight at a home in the 6200 block of Holmes Avenue.
When firefighters pulled the woman out, she had no pulse and wasn't breathing. Paramedics frantically worked to revive her, and then rushed her to an area hospital.
A brave neighbor was also transported for cuts to his hand. Firefighters say he broke out a window trying to help the woman.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
