Jonathan Kirby, 56, was charged with first-degree burglary. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Kirby is a third-strike offender. Prosecutors are expected to set bail at $1.1 million.
The "NCIS: Los Angeles" actor and rapper's home was broken into Wednesday. He heard suspicious sounds in his house at around 1:30 a.m. and went downstairs to check it out. That's when the 44-year-old star came face-to-face with the intruder and confronted him. LL pinned the suspect down and held him until police came and arrested him.
LL was not injured in the incident. Kirby, however, remains hospitalized with a broken jaw, nose and ribs.
If convicted, Kirby faces a maximum sentence of 38 years to life in prison.
