Marijuana growing operation found on Rowland Heights hillside

Authorities said they found a marijuana growing operation in the hills above Pathfinder Regional Community Park in Rowland Heights on Friday.

Members of the Marijuana Eradication Team hiked into the area and discovered the marijuana. They say there was a small encampment and marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

The grow is considered unique because it was located on a hillside between a residential neighborhood and a public park.
