Missing tourist case: Toxicology, other tests ordered on Elisa Lam's brain

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

A toxicology report and other tests on Elisa Lam's brain and other organs have been ordered.

Currently, the coroner is not sure whether Lam's death was a murder or a bizarre accident.

Lam's body was found in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angles earlier this week.

Fire officials say they were told by city health inspectors that the water in the tank contains no biohazards, but they turned the water supply off to the rooms and the rest of the hotel immediately after the discovery of the body.

Hotel surveillance footage showed her acting erratically inside an elevator before her death - but it wasn't clear how she ended up in the water tank.

The 21-year-old, from of Vancouver, British Columbia, was traveling by herself and staying at the hotel where she was discovered.
